How It Works

End-to-End Payment Flow

A detailed breakdown of how payments flow through the Paynex platform — from user access through compliance verification, account provisioning, payment initiation, and final payout settlement via licensed partner infrastructure.

Step 01

User Accesses the Paynex Platform

The user accesses the Paynex product interface — a web or API-based experience for initiating and managing cross-border payments. Paynex handles the interface, session management, and workflow orchestration at this layer.

Step 02

Identity Verification via Compliance Partner

The user's identity (KYC for individuals, KYB for businesses) is verified through a licensed compliance partner integrated into the onboarding flow. Paynex passes the user through the compliance partner's verification process; Paynex does not operate or own the compliance function.

KYC/KYB and AML screening operated by licensed compliance partner. Your data is securely handled.

Step 03

Account Structure Provisioned via Banking Partner

Following compliance approval, an account or wallet structure is provisioned for the user through the partner banking infrastructure. Fund custody and account management are held by the licensed banking partner — Paynex surfaces this information through the product interface.

Accounts and fund custody held by licensed banking partner, not Paynex.

Step 04

Payment Initiated Through Paynex

The user initiates a cross-border payment through Paynex. The platform validates the request, applies corridor routing logic, and passes structured payment instructions to the relevant banking or payment infrastructure partner for execution.

Paynex provides orchestration and routing. Payment execution is performed by the licensed partner.

Step 05

Funds Routed via Licensed Payment Rails

The payment instruction is executed by the banking or payout infrastructure partner through approved payment rails appropriate to the target corridor — ACH, SWIFT, local bank rails, or mobile money networks. Paynex does not hold, move, or transmit the funds directly.

Step 06

Payout Settled to Recipient

Funds are settled to the recipient through the local payout method supported in the destination corridor — bank account credit, mobile money delivery, or wallet transfer, as applicable. Settlement confirmation is relayed back to Paynex for status display.

Settlement method and timeline vary by corridor and local payout network.
